Moon Robot Engineers

In January 2004, a group of enthusiastic people met in a small church in central London to discuss a common interest: the desire to put a robot on the moon. Two years later, by January 2006, nothing had happened. But now, with the formation of the Moon Robot Initiative (MRI), the project has begun.

The mission is simple: to deliver a radio-controlled robot to the moon. As well as being the first amateur mission to attempt such a grand undertaking, this project has the potential to save many lives. But, there is a catch; building a robot good enough to send to the moon may take months, if not years, and will cost thousands of pounds.

We are seeking volunteers to help us to put a robot on the moon. Volunteers are critical to the success of this project. Please help us by building a robot, or by providing space in your rocket to deliver our payload. Help us make history.
